


If the scriptural composition that is continuing on the top of the left-hand page is a var(ode) then start from the first of the slokas preceding the pauri and read up to the end of the pauri. If the Shabad begins on the previous page, turn over the page and read the whole hymn from the beginning to the end. For taking the command (Hukam), the Shabad that is continuing on the top of the left-hand page must be from the beginning.A paragraph of Gurbani is read in Hukamnama Sahib.If you do not remember the rhyme of Gurbani, you can chant ‘Satnam Shri Waheguru Ji’.

If the Guru Granth Sahib is already seated, then you simply have to remove the handkerchief given above the Guru Granth Sahib along with the rhyme of Gurbani that you remember.You must have knowledge of Gurmukhi (Punjabi language) to get Hukamnama.You will find Guru Granth Sahib ji published in the Gurdwara. Because Hukamnama Sahib can be read-only from the religious book of Sikhism ‘Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji’ (religious book written by Sikh). To take the Hukamnama Sahib yourself, you have to visit the Gurdwara.
